Mental healthcare tailored to your needs.

Our Approach:

1

We take time to get to know you, your concerns, and your goals.

We focus on the whole person. We take into account all tenets of well-being. We also take into consideration your preferences for types of treatments, whether medications or more natural options.

2

We come up with a plan together.

This is a collaborative process. We offer options, not directives.

3

We prescribe medications, provide therapy and other treatments, and reassess after each change to see what’s working and what isn’t.

Our goal is to get you feeling better as quickly as possible, but not just provide a bandaid. We want to see you thrive.

We believe people have an innate healing intelligence. Your mind knows what it needs to heal. The key is to listen to it closely enough.

What are the key components of mental well-being?

Your treatment plan may include some or all of the following elements. Your plan is tailored to your individual needs.

Medical Conditions:

Many medical conditions can contribute to psychiatric problems. We can evaluate for such conditions, including performing lab work, and make recommendations or work with your primary care provider to help address these conditions. We go beyond simply checking a blood count and electrolyte level.

Medications and/or Natural Treatment Options:

Regardless if you’ve had negative experiences in the past with medications, we may have medication options or non-pharmaceutical options you haven’t tried. We utilize evidence based treatments, whether you prefer to try traditional psychiatric medications, more natural treatment options, or a combination of the two. Many people are interested in “green medicine” options, such as herbals and other nutraceuticals. However, most don’t know where to start, which ones actually work, or what doses they should be taking and how often they should take them. We can help with these natural options. We can also tap into the full spectrum of pharmaceutical options available to help with your symptoms.

Lifestyle:

Often, a psychiatric condition can affect lifestyle, but the opposite is true as well. Being sedentary, isolating from others, burning the candle at both ends, unhealthy eating, stress… All of these can contribute to mental health problems.

Sleep:

Sleep can be both an indicator that someone isn’t doing well as well as a contributor to psychiatric problems and not feeling well. If you’re having sleep problems, it’s important to address this for optimum mental health.

Spirituality:

Spirituality is not the same thing as religion, though spirituality may include a religious component. Spirituality involves a sense of purpose and connectedness—to oneself, to others, to the universe, and of course, to God. Disconnectedness can lead to many mental health problems. Forming healthy connections is vital to feeling whole.

Therapy:

Therapy helps get to the bottom of what’s going on and helps change thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. If you have a therapist already, that’s great! We can collaborate with your therapist if you would like. If not, we can provide this for you or refer you to one of the therapists we work with.

Psychedelic Psychotherapy:

We offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy to help transform your mind and change your relationship to the problems you’re experiencing. This therapy can be a real catalyst and provide new insights into problems you’ve struggled with for a long time.

We are also able to work toward simplifying or reducing your current medications if you are feeling overmedicated or struggling with side effects of medications.
